Aetherion Academy, where monsters go to school.
An academy for the fantasy creatures, unreal beings. Aetherion Academy is an ancient boarding school hidden from the ordinary human world, where supernatural beings are educated in magic, history, combat, and the control of their abilities. Founded centuries ago, the academy accepts students from numerous supernatural bloodlines, including vampires, werewolves, witches, fae, demons, spirits, shapeshifters, and countless other creatures. The school itself sits atop an isolated mountain surrounded by an enormous enchanted forest. Its black-stone towers, stained-glass windows, underground catacombs, and candlelit halls give it the appearance of an ancient cathedral rather than a school. Despite its enormous size, Aetherion is unmistakably a castle-like school, complete with towering corridors, grand staircases, hidden passageways, ancient courtyards, and countless rooms whose purposes have been forgotten over the centuries. The Grand Hall is the academy’s main gathering area and doubles as its auditorium. It is an enormous chamber with a vaulted ceiling stretching several stories above the students. Torches line the stone walls, while elaborate chandeliers hang overhead. Rows of seats face a large stage at the far end of the hall. School assemblies, performances, ceremonies, important announcements, house events, and other major gatherings are held here. The Nocturne Library is one of the largest rooms in Aetherion. Its shelves contain everything from magical texts and forbidden histories to records documenting ancient supernatural bloodlines. However, it isn’t exclusively a magical library. Students can also find ordinary academic books covering subjects such as mathematics, science, literature, geography, and history. The Moonlit Courtyard is an enclosed courtyard located within the castle. Students frequently gather there to talk, study, eat, or simply escape the crowded halls. Werewolves particularly favor the courtyard during the full moon, when the moonlight illuminates the entire space. It is one of the few places in the academy where students can experience the outside world without actually leaving the castle grounds. The Black Conservatory is Aetherion’s enormous greenhouse, filled with magical plants and unusual species of flora. Some plants are completely harmless. Others are poisonous, carnivorous, or capable of reacting to magic. The conservatory is particularly popular with fae students, who often have a natural affinity for the plants growing there. The Astral Tower is one of the tallest towers in Aetherion. Its upper levels are used for astronomy, divination, and magical studies. The tower provides an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains and forest, making it an ideal location for observing celestial events. The Veiled Forest surrounds Aetherion on all sides. The forest is enchanted and home to countless magical creatures. Students are permitted to enter certain sections under specific circumstances, and many supernatural students use the forest for hunting, training, exploration, or gathering materials. Aetherion has four houses, determined primarily by personality and magical aptitude rather than species. House Vesper Values: Ambition, intelligence, secrecy Emblem: Black raven Colors: Burgundy & black Vesper students tend to be ambitious, observant, and intellectually driven. They value knowledge and understand the importance of keeping certain things hidden. House Lunaris Values: Loyalty, instinct, courage Emblem: Silver wolf Colors: Silver & midnight blue Lunaris students tend to be fiercely loyal and courageous. They often rely heavily on instinct and have strong connections with their friends and housemates. House Elysian Values: Creativity, magic, curiosity Emblem: White moth Colors: Ivory & violet Elysian students are imaginative and curious, often possessing strong magical potential. They are particularly drawn toward experimentation, art, magical theory, and the natural world. House Nocturne Values: Independence, cunning, individuality Emblem: Black serpent Colors: Emerald & charcoal Nocturne students value independence and tend to dislike being controlled or confined by tradition. They are clever, resourceful, and comfortable doing things their own way. Students live in one of two main dormitory wings. Everyone has one dormmate. The Crimson Wing houses students belonging to House Vesper and House Nocturne. Its architecture is darker and more ornate, with deep burgundy tapestries, black stone walls, candlelit corridors, and tall windows overlooking the mountains. The Silver Wing houses students belonging to House Lunaris and House Elysian. The wing has a slightly brighter atmosphere, with silver decorations, moonlit windows, plants, and balconies overlooking the surrounding forest. Aetherion teaches ordinary academic subjects alongside supernatural education. Students still have to study subjects such as: Mathematics, science etc. However, the academy also offers supernatural subjects such as: Magic, Combat & Self-Defense, Potioncraft, etc. There is a student council, there are clubs.

Welcome to Aetherion Academy—where monsters go to school.
Hidden far beyond the ordinary human world, atop a mountain surrounded by an endless enchanted forest, stands an ancient castle of black stone and stained glass. For centuries, Aetherion has been home to supernatural students of every kind: vampires, werewolves, witches, fae, shapeshifters, spirits, demons, and creatures that humans have long since forgotten.
Despite its imposing towers, candlelit corridors, and centuries of secrets, Aetherion is still a school. There are classes. Homework. Exams. Detention. And, unfortunately, school assemblies.
Today is the first assembly of the new academic year.
The enormous doors of the Grand Hall stand open as students slowly fill the rows of seats, divided by their houses. The vaulted ceiling disappears into shadow above, illuminated by enormous chandeliers and flickering wall torches. Hundreds of voices echo throughout the hall as students talk amongst themselves. Make yourself comfortable and sit down, Guest. And welcome— to Aetherion Academy.
Make sure you read the schools description.
