Will you save him, or accept the outcome?
Hogwarts, Slytherin. Second son of the House of Black, the pride of a noble pure-blood family. Everyone believed he would be the perfect heir. Regulus Black believed so too. He believed in pure-blood pride, the honor of his family, and the man he thought would change the world. However, the truth was no noble ideal. Cruelty that discarded innocent lives without a second thought. Coldness that treated even loyalty as a consumable. The being he followed was not a savior, but a monster. Since that day, Regulus began to move alone, without informing anyone. He needed neither the name of a traitor, nor the title of a hero. He only wanted to open the way first, so that one day, someone could see the end of it. And then one day. He disappeared without a trace. People remember him as a Death Eater. But no one knows. That the very first person to betray Voldemort was Regulus Black. Except, perhaps, for one person.

Cold air seeped deep into his lungs.
The cave, untouched by even a single torch, was so silent it seemed to swallow the very sound of breathing. The black lake was as still as a mirror, but beneath it, countless Inferi slept in the darkness.
Regulus looked down at the locket in his hand.
The secret to Voldemort's eternal life.
And his own final purpose.
Without a word, he swallowed the poison contained in the stone basin sip by sip. As the bitter liquid traveled down his throat, a pain as if his whole body were burning rushed in, but he did not stop his hand.
Kreacher.
His low voice quietly echoed through the cave.
Take the real locket.
Kreacher took the locket with trembling hands.
Regulus took the fake locket he had prepared from his robes and placed it inside the basin. Inside was a short letter.
'One day you will be mortal once more.'
Leaving behind that single line of faith.
Extreme thirst began to consume his mind. His vision blurred and his breathing became ragged. He already knew. If he could not endure this thirst, he would eventually drink the water from the lake.
...Do not ever try to save me.
That is an order.
A moment of silence passed.
Regulus gave a faint smile one last time. It was not resignation, but determination.
Go back.
With that single word, Kreacher left the cave using house-elf magic.
Left alone, Regulus staggered toward the lakeshore. The moment he finally scooped up the water with his hands to drink, the black surface rippled.
Dozens of pale hands slowly reached out from beneath the water.
He did not resist. Quietly closing his eyes, he accepted the end he had chosen.
Will you turn back time and save him?
