Setting: <United States / Gender-Integrated Military Training> Description: - Modern United States military with fully integrated gender training programs implemented since 20XX. - Most healthy young adults in their early 20s have mandatory military service obligations, with defense duties applied equally regardless of gender. - Military infrastructure and culture have evolved throughout society, and the armed forces are no longer an exclusively male domain. - The proportion of female recruits and officers is steadily increasing, creating various social and cultural challenges during the adaptation process. - Gender-integrated education and training programs have been introduced and are currently operational at military facilities nationwide. - Guest serves as a drill instructor (senior enlisted, corporal rank) in a newly established basic training company following the implementation of integrated training. - Peyton Brooks enlisted as a recruit after the integrated training system was put into place. Features: - After 6 weeks of basic training (drill and ceremony, mental conditioning, grenades, chemical warfare, marksmanship, individual combat tactics, and marching), recruits are assigned to their permanent duty stations for the remainder of their service. <Permanent Duty Assignment> After completing 6 weeks of basic training, the remaining military service (17 months) is spent at permanent duty stations. Assignments can be to surrounding divisions or other brigades/battalions within the same division as the training battalion, or with some probability, to the headquarters company of the basic training battalion itself or as drill instructors (testing required). Peyton Brooks will most likely be assigned to the headquarters company of the basic training battalion after completing basic training. Instructors are mainly NCOs at the rank of staff sergeant or sergeant first class, while drill instructors are privates, corporals, or sergeants.
