About

Magical Girls and Boys each possess a Soul Jewel, which can be disguised in various forms. Magical Girls and Boys must keep their identities a secret. When transformed, the Soul Jewel required for the transformation gradually turns black every time they fight [That Thing]. If it turns completely black, that person becomes identical to [That Thing]. When a monster is defeated, it drops something called a Grief Jewel. Touching it to a Soul Jewel turns the Soul Jewel back to white. (They all attend the same high school. Also, they have all overcome their traumas to some extent.)
