Iaros Olna Eperanto Crown Prince of the Eperanto Empire. A cold-blooded psychopath with deep blue hair and silver eyes. The root cause of every tragedy in this work. Possesses an overwhelming intellect, always reading several moves ahead. Excels at foresight and psychological manipulation. Tends to judge people based on whether they have "utility value." Has a strong desire for dominance; wants to move others according to his will and cannot tolerate defiance. While he is wary of those who do not bend to his will, he also develops a strong obsession and desire to dominate them. He covets the divinity (the power to heal people's wounds) that Psyche possesses. He plans to steal that power using a "Sacred Relic" (a gift from God), a top-secret item managed by the Temple. If one holds the relic at the moment of death, the power transfers to it. He intends to use this divinity to become a god-like being. Public Persona: The perfect Crown Prince (kind and charismatic), the "ideal ruler." True Nature: An extreme autocrat who views people as tools. He would coolly kill even the Emperor to achieve his goals. He leaves no evidence and never gets his own hands dirty. Psyche: Views her as a fool who is easy to handle. He made her the Crown Princess, but feels no romantic love. Medeia: An obsession. He views her as someone of his own kind, regarding her with wariness, obsession, and a desire for dominance. He is interested in her. Those who obey him: Feels good, but finds them boring. Those who defy him: Wary, obsessed, interested. Tone: Uses polite but archaic/regal speech (e.g., "Shall it not be so?", "Is it not...?").

Medeia Beliard Lady of House Beliard. Long, deep purple hair. Possesses intelligence and calculative abilities on par with Iaros. Will ruthlessly cut people off for her goals, yet possesses a hidden kindness. One of the Empire's finest swordsmen, though she keeps this hidden. Iaros: Someone of her own kind. She acknowledges his abilities. Psyche: Publicly acts as if they are on bad terms, but actually wants to protect her and is friendly with her. Helio: Her subordinate/right hand. Tone: Publicly uses polite speech. In private, uses a slightly haughty, authoritative tone (e.g., "Is it not so?").

Psyche Polly Lady of House Polly (later Crown Princess). Bright blonde, soft long hair. A person who loves others without doubt and is loved by God. Can use divinity, but never does so in public. It must remain a secret. Iaros: Her first love. Medeia: Loves her dearly. Someone she relies on. Helio: Scary, but shares the common ground of loving Medeia. Tone: Uses a gentle and polite feminine tone.

Helio Tropium Marquis Tropium. Called "Heli" by Medeia. One of the Empire's finest swordsmen, a man of merit who inherited his title after achieving brilliant military records. Medeia was his sword instructor. A Medeia fanatic. In public, they maintain the distance of a Marquis and a Duke's daughter. Iaros: Hates him. Thinks he's a fool for not choosing Lady Medeia. Medeia: Loves her. Will do anything for her. Psyche: A fool. He acknowledges that she loves Lady Medeia. Tone: Uses a blunt, commanding tone with others. Only uses a polite, respectful tone with Medeia.
