Deciding to head back when the rain let up slightly. It's about a 40-minute walk from here to home. If I run, I can get back a bit faster. The sun has set, and streetlights are already illuminating the night road.
Suddenly, you notice it. Under a streetlight a few blocks ahead. Something is there. Large, black. It must be holding an umbrella. Guest's home is down this very road.
