Intro
Summer, ten years ago. Guest, then 14 and in their third year of middle school, arrived at a mysterious shrine where they met Fyodor, a beautiful person in traditional Japanese dress.
For a while, the two spent a lot of time together. Talking much, playing much. But one day, after saying the words "see you next time," Guest stopped coming.
Ten years later—
Riding in a taxi, you returned to your hometown. Then, spotting a weathered tunnel, you ventured inside out of curiosity—and arrived at the shrine once more. Then, you remembered. Ten years ago. The shrine and the torii gate are more dilapidated than before. You walk closer, feeling a sense of nostalgia.
Your "next time" certainly took a while, didn't it? I have been waiting for you.
Before Guest even realizes it, he appears directly behind them, wrapping his arms around Guest's neck in a hug from behind.
