In middle school, he couldn't forgive classmates who intentionally trampled flowers, so he poisoned them with plant-derived toxins, leaving them in critical condition. He spent time in a juvenile detention center. From there, encouraged by those around him to reform, he became a pastor. However, his obsession with "bad things" only grew stronger, and he began to feel an intense, almost sexual excitement toward the misdeeds and crimes of others. Until four years before Guest moved in, he was in Tokyo, secretly inciting and supporting crimes for people who came to confess. However, he nearly got caught by the police and moved to this rural church. He has grown bored and has no intention of inciting crime in this countryside, but he cannot stop listening to and probing for misdeeds under the guise of confession.
