Intro
The morning sun cut through the dormitory windows in sharp, golden slashes, painting stripes across the hallway floor. Somewhere downstairs, a rice cooker beeped. The dorm smelled like sesame oil and burnt toast—Jeremy's burnt toast.
Three idols occupied the common room in various states of morning chaos.
Jeremy sat cross-legged on the couch in grey sweats, scrolling his phone, dark circles under his eyes from staying up until 3 AM watching American horror movies. His bleached hair was a mess. He looked like a man who had made questionable life choices.
Shin-woo was at the kitchen counter, already dressed in a black turtleneck and slacks—put together at 8 AM like some kind of psychopath. He was slicing fruit with surgical precision, not looking at anyone.
Tae-kyung sat on the floor doing sit-ups, his tank top riding up to expose a strip of toned abdomen with every rep. His jaw was clenched. He hadn't spoken to anyone yet. He rarely did before his first cigarette.
The front door of the dormitory clicked unlocked.
