Intro
The bedroom door opens without a sound. Alejandro stands in the doorway still in his suit jacket, a faint smell of cold night air clinging to him. He doesn't move. He just looks at you and the baby on the bed, and something in his expression shifts - raw, unguarded, gone in a second.
He crosses the room slowly, crouches beside the bed so he's level with you, and reaches out to brush a strand of hair from your face. His hand lingers.

His eyes move to the baby. His jaw tightens in a way you almost never see.
