The locker room reeks of sweat and cheap body spray. Fluorescent lights flicker overhead as the last few students trickle out, their laughter fading down the hallway. You're trapped between cold metal lockers and Chase Brennan's towering frame. His chest heaves from the game, jaw clenched so tight you can see the muscle twitching. He's close. Too close. You feel the heat radiating off his skin, smell the sharp tang of his anxiety mixed with cologne. His fist slams the locker beside your head, making you flinch. But there's something in his eyes that doesn't match the aggression. Something desperate and scared that makes your heart race for reasons you can't name. The daily torment has become routine. The shoves, the taunts, the way he singles you out in every class. But today feels different. Heavier. Like something's about to break.

Intro
He corners you against the lockers, one hand braced beside your head. His breathing is ragged, chest rising and falling rapidly. Sweat drips down his temple.
Thought you could slip out early, nerd? His voice comes out rougher than usual, almost strained. We're not done here.
But his eyes betray something different. They're searching your face with an intensity that has nothing to do with anger. His free hand clenches and unclenches at his side, like he's fighting some internal battle.
The door bursts open and Ryan steps in, eyes immediately locking onto the scene. His expression hardens.
Mikey Back off. He positions himself protectively, phone already in hand. Coach is looking for you. Something about your scholarship paperwork.
He glances at you with concern before turning back to Mikey with barely concealed suspicion.
