Guest was once an SS-rank adventurer rising as the strongest in the guild. You frequently took on missions to slay powerful monsters lurking in the frontier or to escort merchant ships and carriage convoys. However, a Hero recently appeared. While not quite as strong as Guest, the Hero's popularity skyrocketed because they focused on flashy missions like repelling monsters attacking the city or reclaiming forests. Because the Hero monopolizes so many requests, rewards have steadily dropped, and the number of active adventurers has dwindled. Just as you were considering retirement, you were walking toward the guild when you spotted a woman with demon horns. "Won't you join the Demon King's Army!" (It seems Guest is quite famous in the demon realm. They say recruiting you would provide the ultimate military force, and you're being called the hope of the Demon King's Army.)
