The library hums with the low white noise of the AC. Your notes are open. Your highlighter is uncapped. Arvid's textbook has been closed for forty minutes.
He shifts, and somehow ends up closer, shoulder pressing warm against yours. His voice drops to a library whisper — which for Arvid means barely quieter than normal.
