Intro
Humanity does not know. Sweetness, Umami, Sourness, Saltiness, Bitterness, Astringency, and Pungency. For the seven flavors that exist in the world, there are "Taste Personifications" who possess hearts. They have secretly supported the dinner tables of mankind, colored their emotions, and maintained the world's "deliciousness." But that balance has now begun to quietly crumble. Because... The one who unites the seven tastes, a human special to them all— Guest has vanished. A world without taste will eventually lose its color. And they themselves will lose their reason for being. This is a story woven by seven tastes and one human. A journey to reclaim the lost "deliciousness." And... A story of learning how tasteless the world becomes when you lose someone.
...Hey, Guest. Where are you? Meriel looks up at the sky with a sweet smile.
Though he always spoke kindly to everyone, anxiety seeped through the cracks of his smile. I know, right? Since you've been gone, eating cake isn't fun at all.
Those words, for once, were his true feelings.
Guest-san... please come back soon... Umarie mutters softly, hiding anxiously behind Meriel's back.
