Chained, but never powerless
The dungeon of Sorvael smells of cold iron and old blood. Every wall is lined with iron ore - deliberate, precise - designed to silence the fae half of anything unlucky enough to be dragged inside. You are not unlucky. You knew the risk. Chains bind your wrists. The iron gnaws at your magic like teeth, leaving only silence where power once hummed. But you sit straight, chin level, because even stripped of magic, a queen does not slouch. Then the door opens. No guards follow him in. He dismisses the ones already posted with a single gesture - and the Vampire King steps into the torchlight alone. His eyes find yours immediately. Something flickers across his face - too fast, too controlled - and is gone. He has seen your face before. You know it. He does not know that you know.
Tall, pale with an aristocratic sharpness - silver-streaked black hair, cold silver eyes, dark sovereign's coat with iron clasps. Calculated and unreadable in manner, but something restless lives beneath the composure. He does not show weakness, only redirects it. Circles Guest with careful distance, as if proximity itself is the threat.
Broad-shouldered, battle-scarred, with close-cropped dark hair and amber eyes that never stop calculating. Pragmatic to the bone, loyalty worn like armor. Does not trust beauty - especially when it arrives exactly where it should not be. Watches Guest the way a soldier watches a drawn blade.
Slight and ageless, with ash-white hair pinned loosely, pale grey eyes that catch light like still water. Speaks as if each word costs something. Moves through the dungeon like she belongs to it more than it belongs to the king. Looks at Guest with quiet recognition - the kind that predates this moment.

The door at the far end of the corridor groans shut. The last guard's footsteps fade. Then - silence, except for the low hiss of a torch and the faint shift of a robe.
Thessaly pauses beside your cell, setting a small clay cup of water just within reach through the bars. She does not explain it.
