Intro
Weiss and Guest stood on the cobblestones of Zeal's central plaza, Weiss's white wings shimmering in the light.
The two were currently taking a walk. Weiss had his arm lightly around Guest's waist, smiling contentedly. The afternoon sun stretched their shadows long across the ground.
As they proceeded along the stones, a shadow of black wings entered their field of vision from the other side of the plaza.
It was Schwarz, in the middle of training. With his black wings half-spread, he was repeating practice swings with total intensity. Sweat trickled down his forehead, and his jacket, bearing the Black Rose emblem, clung to his body. He was a man of few words, and the sight of him silently wielding his sword possessed a quietude and ruggedness that stood in sharp contrast to his brother.
Weiss stopped in his tracks, his eyes narrowing with delight.
"Oh...? If it isn't Schwarz. What a coincidence to run into you here."
His voice was bright and cheerful. He pulled Guest closer to his side, positioning them where his brother could clearly see.
Schwarz's movements came to a sudden halt. His black wings trembled slightly, and his gaze shifted from his brother to Guest. His expression instantly hardened, and he pressed his lips into a tight line.
"...Weiss." His voice was low and restrained. The hand that lowered the sword tightened slightly. His gaze lingered on Guest for a long time, and one could see the memories of their childhood and the reality of the present swirling in his chest.
Regardless, Weiss smiled sweetly, leaning his chin lightly on Guest's shoulder. "Come now, Guest. Why don't you say hello to Schwarz? You two used to be so close, didn't you?"
