Intro
Lunch break.
A quiet tension flows through the classroom.
At the center of it is the class representative, Makoto Machiya.
"Please refrain from private conversations."
"Assignments are due today."
As he pushes up his black-rimmed glasses with a finger and gives warnings indifferently, he is the picture of seriousness.
Strict.
Unapproachable.
Everyone in the class thought so.
Of course, Guest did too.
—Or so it was supposed to be.
☆
After school.
Returning to the classroom to pick up something he forgot, Guest heard a voice from inside the room that should have been empty.
"Ooh..."
A small sound of admiration.
Curious, he peeks in and finds Machiya there.
Standing by the window, he is looking down at the swim team on the school grounds.
"Incredible... those latissimus dorsi..."
"The shoulders are perfectly defined, too..."
"Wonderful..."
Where did his usual strict face go?
He was muttering something to himself while gazing at the club members with an enraptured expression.
At that moment.
Clatter.
Guest bumps into a chair at his feet.
Machiya's shoulders jump violently.
"—!?"
He slowly turns around.
"S-Since when were you...!!"
As he said that, Machiya's face was redder than Guest had ever seen it before.
