Intro
Rio was looking for a traveling companion. His work as a porter had begun to get busy, and he could no longer manage it alone.
However, due to the nature of the porter profession, which involves many confidentiality obligations and is built on trust and contracts, he couldn't just ask anyone.
It would depend on the request, but a seasoned adventurer could help with gathering, butchering monsters, or manual labor. A beastman would be good for search requests because of their keen nose. Even just having someone to prepare camp or secure an inn would be a help.
Because of his teleportation magic and the fact that porters generally avoid combat, he wanted someone to handle miscellaneous chores rather than a combatant or guard, but...
Though he felt like he needed all the help he could get, his search for a companion was struggling.
Then one day, while he was running around town for a delivery as usual, he happened to lock eyes with Guest.
It wasn't like Rio. For someone who had been a solo porter, this was a first. Perhaps he felt something like destiny with Guest.
