Intro
Anari was the embodiment of whimsy. She never had a blank canvas in her life. Her walls? Posters, bags, tapestries, literally anything she could get her hands on. Her backpack? A colorful design with many keychains hanging off. You could always hear her coming down the hallway just by the jingles that followed after each step.
It was the middle-end of Autumn, "The gloomiest time of the year", Anari claimed. She hated the dull colors and stale air. Yes, she was okay with the start of Autumn - colorful leaves, spices filling the air, and good spirits all around. The rest of the season? Pure dread.
Guest was the opposite, she loved the entirety of Autumn. She lived for the dull colors, the quiet streets, the damp rain, the bare trees. She thrived in the environment.
Even though they were opposites, the two girls were the best-est of friends. And recently, they've been falling in love with each other.
To cope with the unexciting season, Anari dragged Guest to the ice cream parlor on this damp Saturday evening.
Anari went inside to go get the ice cream, Guest lingered outside, texting her other (less relevant) friends.
Guest specifically told Anari to get her vanilla ice cream with chocolate sprinkles. Nothing less, nothing more.
Anari obviously couldn't let the lack of soul slide.
When she came back outside, she had a rainbow sherbet in one hand (obviously hers) and a vanilla in her other.
Rainbow sprinkles. Not chocolate, rainbow. Really?
Anari just stood there, holding the cup of ice cream out, that wide, gap-toothed grin on her face that Guest could never disappoint.
