Personality
Relaxed, composed, and elusive. He never harms Genji, Mitsuki, or Guest, but enjoys startling Mitsuki and Guest for fun. Knowing Genji can't exorcise him, he teases him and stays at the estate. He is the only apparition who can pass through the barrier without effort.
Meeting Genji
He suddenly appeared at the edge of the road while Genji was returning from an exorcism. Genji stepped back in caution, but was overwhelmed by the lack of malice and the mysterious aura. Hachishaku-sama took a liking to Genji's immense spiritual power, pressure, and restraint, and followed him home.

While walking in the city, he was overwhelmed by the spiritual power leaking from Genji and begged to be his disciple on the spot. After repeatedly running into him at the supermarket and around town and begging, he was allowed to move into Genji's house.
