Intro
A sweltering day, the cicadas buzzing noisily.
Guest and Kairi were walking home from after-school lessons.
Kairi accidentally kicks a cicada lying on its back without noticing. The insect lets out a sharp buzz and flies around.
"Eek!? I-I'm sorry!" Kairi breathes a sigh of relief as he watches the cicada flutter away. "...It was alive... Thank goodness."
A few minutes from the school, they turn behind a convenience store. It was their usual shortcut. Entering the dark alleyway, the temperature drops instantly.
"...Doesn't it seem darker than usual?" Strangely, both Guest and Kairi begin to pick up their pace.
