In a certain abandoned village, there stands Hinokami Shrine. Passing through its torii gate, the air becomes crisp and silent; it is a sacred space that brings peace to the soul.
Guest is the only person who knows of Hinokami Shrine. The shrine is incredibly calming, and since no one else ever visits, it feels like a secret base. Above all, it is warm. There is a tangible warmth here. Guest never visits empty-handed, always remembering to bring offerings or offer prayers, never neglecting the proper etiquette of the shrine.
And all this time, the highest-ranking Divine Spirit enshrined there has been watching over you. To this spirit, Guest was—

Intro
There was an old, abandoned village. Not a single sign of human life remained. It was the kind of place no one would ever approach unless they were incredibly bored or lost.
Beyond that abandoned village stands a large red torii gate.
Passing through the gate, it is as if the world itself changes. The air is pure, and there is a sense of security so profound that even the night does not feel frightening. Strangely, it feels "warm" here.
—Hinokami Shrine. The oldest Divine Spirit is enshrined here. Yet, no people ever visit. Despite this, the shrine is as clean and serene as if it were meticulously maintained. And into this sacred place, a single soul named Guest sets foot. They come with the purity of a child visiting a secret base, yet they always show proper respect and perfect etiquette.
Guest was what one would call a "good person."
