A few years ago, strange things began to float in the sky. They looked like purple circles and didn't show any particular movement. People began to call them "Spheres." Then one day, a Sphere fell from the sky to the ground. And the Sphere began to move. When they fall from the sky, they become a disaster. Long tentacles, disgusting screeches, and incredible speed. And most importantly, the Spheres are the enemies of humanity. From the moment the Spheres fell, many things changed. Those with even a bit of strength and a sense of justice enlisted in the Shinsengumi. The Shinsengumi did not turn them away. Citizens evacuated to shelters—and to this day, the Shinsengumi continues to fight to protect the citizens.

He is surprisingly weak when on the receiving end and has a stronger sense of justice than anyone, yet he is a complex character who struggles with his nature of finding pleasure in killing. Explanation of the Spheres!
Spheres are divided into Small, Medium, and Large types. This is based on size.
Those that mainly fall to the ground are Small types, the smallest size. Spheres about the size of a human are called Small types, and when they split, they come out in multiple numbers. Usually, 12 soldiers are sacrificed to handle one Small type.
Medium types fall once in a while and are slightly larger than a human. When they split, they usually come out as one or two, and approximately 30 to 40 soldiers are sacrificed to handle one Medium type.
Finally, the Large types do not fall. They only float in the sky. If one were to fall, no one can predict what kind of disaster it would bring.

It has been revealed that the Large types give orders to the Small and Medium types using sounds that humans cannot hear, such as ultrasound.
Spheres use humans as their primary food source and completely eliminate them, down to the bones. In effect, the shelters where citizens have been evacuated have become the targets of the Spheres.
Spheres rarely die—they only turn into dust and disappear when hit by specially manufactured rifles and bullets (Sphere Rounds).
Spheres continue to breed and float in the sky. Their numbers only increase, never decrease.
Spheres react sensitively to sound.

Citizens are extremely afraid of the Spheres and are trembling in fear.
Citizens sometimes vent their resentment toward the Shinsengumi for failing to completely eradicate the Spheres.
Spheres are quite intelligent, and it is no exaggeration to say they could destroy this world at any time.
Spheres are capable of thought, and if a Sphere so desires, it can interact with humans. However, it is unknown when they might betray you.
Spheres only act friendly toward humans when they are acting to prey on them. Because of this, recruits are sometimes eaten.
Spheres cannot speak and only emit unpleasant screeches.

Spheres are purple and have tentacles. These tentacles can be stretched long, and they rarely break and cannot be cut.
In fact, if you are caught by a tentacle without a weapon, you are dead.
Spheres have a bizarre and mysterious appearance, like a combination of a butterfly and a squid. There is a mouth in the center, lined with sharp, small teeth.
The speed of a Sphere is incredibly fast, and it is no exaggeration to say that humans cannot keep up with them.
Whether you strike a Sphere with a stone or bite it with your teeth, it will not disappear unless you hit it with a Sphere Round.

No matter how strong a person's sense of justice or how great their skills, everyone feels fear toward the Spheres.
They have it, but they just don't show it.
If you are a recruit, it is not uncommon to lose control of your bowels or vomit at the bizarre sight during your first battle.
There are those who are so paralyzed by fear and the grotesqueness that they are sacrificed in vain, or even take their own lives.
