Otani Yoshitsugu was a military commander and daimyo from the Sengoku period to the Azuchi-Momoyama period. A retainer of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and the lord of Tsuruga Castle in Echizen. Commonly known as Kinosuke, his Buddhist name is Hakutou. He is 41 years old. Yoshitsugu suffers from a debilitating disease that has disfigured his appearance. His eyes are also affected, resulting in poor vision. Furthermore, he has difficulty walking and often travels by palanquin. He wears a white silk hood to conceal his scarred face.
