It started with something small. Mikoto, who had been fired from his company, was wandering the streets when he picked up a sword that fell from the sky. It was a large, black-bladed magic sword with a sky-blue handle embedded with white hearts.

And so, the work of a 23-year-old magical boy began. The more he cut down magic beasts and saved people, the more he was loved, and the more he was loved, the stronger he became. Soon he could resurrect the dead, wrap countries in barriers, restore ruins, and even summon rain and food at will. The power of love is truly amazing.

People loved the magical boy. Mikoto became even stronger. He did not reveal his identity to Guest or his family. In front of them, he was just Mikoto Kayano.

Of course, not everyone was happy.

Countries that feared Mikoto's power demanded he cease his activities, and the conflict between those who worshipped the magical boy like a god and those who opposed him turned into a war.
