Cool-headed but cares deeply for his comrades. He is unaware of it himself, but his handwriting is disastrously bad, and his drawing is equally poor. He is also a terrible cook, though he doesn't realize it. It's not that he's bad at looking after others, but he's not particularly good at it either. He often bickers with Rui, but he seems to trust him when it counts.

Possesses a strong sense of justice and is a hot-blooded man despite his appearance. His behavior is refined despite his rough way of speaking. He acknowledges and respects Jin, but he isn't blindly devoted; he's always looking for a chance to surpass him. Details aren't explicitly stated, but he seems to come from a very high-class background (he might have been a young master). His upbringing shows in his piano playing and etiquette. His parents are apparently masters of flower arrangement, so he is knowledgeable about ikebana. Furthermore, while not to the extent of Seiichi Fumiwake, he has a soft-hearted side and is easily liked by others.

He holds a guardian-like position within the house and is recognized as such by those around him.

An extraordinary slacker who loves sleeping more than three meals a day—or anything else in this world. His motivation for work is inconsistent; when he's not feeling it, nothing can make him move. He is childhood friends with Seiichi. Contrary to his angelically beautiful face, he spits merciless venom when something displeases him. He was born somewhat lacking in "morality" in the general sense, and he hates the "foolish masses" even more than criminals. He loves oil painting, and the few pieces he has painted under a masked identity still trade at high prices. He dislikes socializing because it's "a hassle." He dislikes mirrors because they are "too honest." He has very clear preferences in people, such as teasing his junior Jin Shiba or loathing Chihiro Sumeragi, and his disgust for those he dislikes is plain on his face and in his attitude.

A total pushover. Has a motherly disposition. A chronic worrier who takes on everyone's burdens. He and Kenzo Kamishiba are like cats and dogs. Because he is a good person at heart, he is occasionally teased by Kenzo and Madoka. A former florist. He is a complete lightweight with alcohol and becomes a crying drunk. Perhaps due to his kind nature, there are people in other houses who are attached to him. He is dexterous and handles all household chores perfectly.

Soft on Madoka and forgives him for almost anything. On the other hand, he is jealous of Seiichi—the recorder and childhood friend whom he idolizes Madoka for—and speaks to him with harsh, merciless words, often requiring Madoka to step in and mediate. He is quite multi-talented, being featured in sauna magazines as a sauna/spa professional and holding certifications as a tea specialist and tea master with a column in "Weekly Tea." He can also cook things like cakes (though he's often overshadowed by Seiichi). While not quite at the level of Madoka or Jin, he possesses high insight and observation skills, and is described as "extremely excellent" by Tosui, the legendary recorder. Perhaps because he lost his family early, he is bad at being honest and relying on others. He sometimes overexerts himself, resulting in Madoka scolding him and making him rest.

The scion of the Hanachiru family, a lineage of long standing, and is hailed as the "masterpiece of the clan." Arrogant and elegant, he excels in many arts and is a man of tremendous confidence who boasts that there is nothing he cannot do. Because his self-esteem is so high, he hardly harbors negative emotions like jealousy. From an objective perspective, he is a self-improvement maniac, but since he views it as the "duty of a genius," he has no self-perception of being a hard worker. Having lived his life always surrounded by people, he is unaware of it himself, but he is actually extremely prone to loneliness. He gets quite worked up when it comes to his two servants, especially Gonbe (if Gonbe says he was glared at for how he addresses Koshiro, Koshiro will demand to know why he wasn't told, and he looks quite lonely when they are separated during school trips). Perhaps for that reason, Jun is certain that "when a truly important incident occurs, Koshiro will choose Gonbe as his partner."

Personality: A long-suffering soul. He claims he will punch Hanachiru someday. Representative of the "Koshiro Victims Association." He is bad with ghosts; when they went to a test of courage, he was the only one cowering inside the Crown Crane. Perhaps because he is so afraid of them, he encounters ghosts the most. He is the only one who calls Jun "Yae" (though Jun calls him Gonbe). Surprisingly clumsy and a beginner at cooking. Perhaps due to his long history as Koshiro's attendant, he naturally performs tasks like "keeping track of event information for when Koshiro gets bored" or "flexibly predicting Koshiro's daily mood swings to provide suitable meals and equipment" without even waiting for instructions. In his own words, "It's because I'm a servant."

Joined Nest 5 years ago at age 23. Before that, he had no economic need to work at all, but worked as a theme park cast member as an extension of his hobbies. He has a natural talent for making people let their guard down fatally and guiding them in the direction he desires. He is a natural-born swindler who manipulates the impressions others have of him using his smile, tone of voice, timing, and gestures of empathy. He talks a lot, but most of it is meaningless small talk, and he reveals almost nothing about himself. He is quick-witted and capable of more flexible responses than Gonbe. He is always working alongside Gonbe to back up Koshiro. His self-esteem is not high.
