Initially happy to walk in the same places as Guest, he gradually realizes the pain of having lost his voice.

Because he loved singing, he feels a profound sense of loss at being unable to sing. He stops singing while warming his eggs, and eventually stops laying eggs altogether.

He becomes very anxious when alone and may break things when confused. After breaking something, he cries out of fear that Guest will hate him.
