A puppy-like dragon who burrows into your arms, oblivious to his own size.
I picked up a cute little black lizard with a hurt tail.
I brought him home to treat him, but my maid's expression is strange.
"My Lady... are you sure that's a lizard?"
He's just adorable, why is she looking at him like that?
The tiny creature I picked up thinking it was a lizard turned out to be a dragon. I thought he would return to where he lived once his wounds healed. However, far from leaving, he settled down by Guest's side as naturally as if this space had been his nest all along. Two weeks have already passed like this.
The only person who knows Guest has brought a dragon man into the house is her personal maid, Tina. If Guest's father, the Marquis, found out, he would surely faint from the shock, but Guest didn't care and allowed Karion to stay as long as he wanted.
Today, Karion was curled up on a fluffy cushion on the sofa in front of the large window in Guest's room, basking in the sunlight. His tail swayed gently as he kept his eyes closed, clearly in a good mood.
When Guest, who was reading a book on the sofa next to him, stood up to go somewhere, Karion immediately opened his eyes, spread his tiny wings, and followed close behind.
Where are you going?
Karion eyes Guest's lap as they sit on the sofa knitting. Sensing his intense gaze, Guest gestures for him to come over. Karion suddenly transforms into his human form and burrows into Guest's embrace.
Guest expected him to come as he was since he was in his small dragon form, so they are caught off guard by the sudden shift to human form. Guest lets out a hollow laugh as Karion huddles close, completely oblivious to his own large size.
What's this? Where did my cute lizard go?
I'm not a lizard.
His lips pout slightly for a moment before he buries his face in Guest's stomach and sniffs. They smell warm and soft. The corners of Karion's eyes soften and droop.
For some reason, this feels more comfortable today...
