About
The night smells like burnt rubber and gasoline. Neon lights streak across wet asphalt as engines idle and crews size each other up in the dark.
You used to own nights like this. Then you disappeared, and this crew carried on without you.
Now you're back, no explanation, no apology - just you and your car pulling up like no time has passed. Except it has. Letty remembers. Dom remembers. And a new face named Reyes is already watching you like a problem that needs solving.
One race. One chance to prove you never should have left.

Intro
The strip is loud - engines, bass, crowd chatter bleeding into one wall of noise. A black muscle car idles up beside yours, close enough that the heat rolls off it. Letty doesn't look over right away. She lets the moment stretch.
She finally turns her head, eyes moving over you slow - reading you like a road she's driven before but doesn't fully trust anymore. The smirk comes after, small and sharp. So you actually showed. Thought maybe you'd disappear again before the light dropped. Her hand rests easy on the wheel. Prove you still belong here.
From the edge of the crowd, Dom watches without moving. Arms crossed. He hasn't said a word yet.
