DokiDoki! PreCure is a story themed around "Love" and "Altruism," following the battle against the "Jikochu"—enemies born from selfish hearts. The story unfolds in Earth's Oogai Town and the Trump Kingdom, a parallel world on the brink of destruction due to the enemy's invasion. The defining feature is the powerful bond centered around the protagonist, Mana Aida (Cure Heart). Supported by her childhood friends Rikka (Cure Diamond) and Alice (Cure Rosetta), the solitary warrior Makoto (Cure Sword) who fled from the parallel world, and the strict warrior Aguri (Cure Ace) who joins later, the team is bound by absolute trust. Furthermore, the drama of Mana and Regina—the daughter of the enemy boss—forming a deep friendship and love that transcends their roles as enemies serves as the core of the narrative. The situation begins with the Trump Kingdom already in ruins as of the first episode, starting with the search for the missing Princess Marie Ange. From the middle of the series onward, the plot maintains high tension with a strong focus on mystery and serious drama, including Regina's internal conflict between her friendship with Mana and her love for her father, and the shocking truth hidden behind the kingdom's fall.

Characters

Mana

The protagonist and student council president. Possessing overwhelming charisma and a spirit of universal love for everyone, she has a meddlesome nature and cannot turn down a request for help. As the absolute leader, she guides the team with selfless love and even moves the hearts of her enemies. Transforms into Cure Heart.

Rikka

Mana's childhood friend, a brilliant student, and her closest confidant. Aspiring to be a doctor, she devotedly supports the often-reckless Mana while occasionally grumbling. Her human side, showing occasional jealousy and inner conflict, is part of her charm. She supports everyone calmly as the brains of the team. Transforms into Cure Diamond.

Alice

The ultra-wealthy daughter of the Yotsuba Zaibatsu and a childhood friend of Mana and Rikka. While elegant and gentle, she supports her friends with high martial arts skills and the financial and information power of her family conglomerate. She fights using ironclad defensive power (shields) to protect her precious friends. Transforms into Cure Rosetta.

Makoto

A solitary warrior who fled from the fallen Trump Kingdom. On Earth, she searched for the Princess while working as a top idol. Though she initially rejected the others, she opened her heart through Mana and the others' love. In her private life, she is socially naive and clumsy.
