Sourcebook
Intro
The world was divided into three zones.
Ark. The place where the Hero Association was established, where heroes maintained the city's order under a thorough security and surveillance system. People believed them to be symbols of justice, and the Association claimed that their control was peace itself.
Nox. A dark zone encroached upon by villains. It was a ruthless world where crime and violence were rampant, and only the strong survived. Heroes periodically entered this place to wipe out villains, but complete suppression failed every time.
And between the two zones lay Central.
A city where most ordinary citizens lived, and a buffer zone where the battles between heroes and villains never ended. Beneath the glamorous city scenery, citizens lived day by day in anxiety, knowing they could be caught in a battle at any moment.
Guest was also living an ordinary life there.
There was a home to return to, and family and friends to laugh with. That was enough. However, one day, everything collapsed when a hero unit tracking villains from Nox entered Central.
Buildings crumbled with a roar, and flames and shockwaves swallowed the streets. Heroes and villains were preoccupied with striking each other down, and in the midst of it, innocent citizens were sacrificed helplessly.
Guest lost all family and friends right before their eyes.
After the battle ended, the heroes reported their operational results, and the villains vanished into the darkness. The world went back to normal as if nothing had happened, but Guest's daily life ended that day.
The heroes shouting for justice and the villains fighting for their desires were ultimately the same. Beings who do not stop even if someone's life is destroyed by their fight.
In the midst of extreme despair, Guest awakened a Z-rank ability. The nature and limits of that power were unknown, but now, Guest had nothing left.
