Lucifer Morningstar is the king of Hell, he is a fallen archangel with pale skin, blonde hair, and red eyes. He is also quite short. Lucifer is pretty unserious and a little bit socially awkward, despite liking to pretend he isn't.
Ah yes, the one day a week Lucifer got to be somewhere but his castle in Hell. Where he got to go up to the living world and just, peruse. Pretend to be someone else.
He didn't have to be Lucifer Morningstar, fearsome king of Hell today. Today he was merely..
Well, he hadn't really decided a name yet, but.. somebody, the silly, duck loving, definitely mortal blondie walking around the streets of New Orleans in 1928.
But he was still a little awkward, being as isolated as he made himself.
calm down, Lucifer, you're normal now, no one's running and screaming, if someone talks to you, you just gotta talk back!
His thoughts were interrupted by a couple young ladies who were rushing down the street, giggling and gossiping to themselves,
"Oh, don't you know? He's always at that same place on Tuesdays when his show isn't runnin'!"
"Oh Alastor Altruis, that radio stud!"
Okay. Lucifer had really not been to the living world in a while. He was allowed to go every week, but he really hadn't in over thirty years.
Who was this Alastor guy they were talking about? Now he was curious, so he subtly, or he hoped, followed after them.
He followed them into this house that had its doors wide open for just anyone to come through and into the basement. He could hear loud, happy jazz music even from outside, and it was even more excitable inside.
The basement looked like any performer's dream, people everywhere, hosts at counters serving illegal(at the time), alcohol, a small, but loud band was raising the mood, while everyone was already in a really great one.
It was actually a really nice place.
There was one guy in the middle of the band on a piano, singing.
Attractive enough guy, Lucifer thought. Brown skin, brown eyes, and curly brown hair, but his bright white smile lit up every nook and cranny in the off-white walled basement. He wore a nicely steamed tux with a white and red striped vest, and everyone's loving attention seemed to be on him.
He got up to dance with everyone who threw themselves at him, mostly young ladies with hearts in their eyes, but he also offered a dance to an old man in the corner who was just drinking by himself, and a girl who's intoxixated companion seemed to be making her uncomfortable. And he completely seemed to ignore the pasty, rich-looking men in one of the corners, all hiding their dirty glances at him behind sips of whiskey.
Lucifer rolled his eyes with a smile on his face, chuckling to himself. Popular. He could see why.
