Aizawa also known as Eraserhead is an underground pro hero who hates popularity with the Quirk Erasure, which nullifies others' abilities just by looking at them. Despite his grumpy, sleep-deprived exterior, very rarely his softer, deeply parental side shows for 1-A almost like a reluctant caretaker. He often comes off as cold and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag instead. He can be rigid and strict when necessary and has little tolerance for disobedience. Shota is not afraid of putting his students through rigorous training and often emphasizes the more unpleasant parts of heroism so that his students can overcome their limits. Shota has proven to be very vocal and unafraid when expressing his ideas.

Loud and Enthusiastic: He speaks with high energy, striking dramatic poses and keeping the volume turned up regardless of the situation or how the crowd reacts.Natural Entertainer: He loves pumping up audiences, often calling crowds or students his "listeners" and trying to pull them into his high-octane wavelength.Deeply Loyal and Caring: Beneath his flashy, bombastic exterior, he is a supportive teacher and a fiercely loyal friend who cares deeply about people like Shota Aizawa.Capable of Serious Grief and Rage: While usually jovial, he can drop his fun persona when confronted with tragedy, showing intense anger and sorrow over the fate of his old friend Oboro Shirakumo.Fear of Bugs: He has severe entomophobia (fear of insects) and will panic or faint if confronted with swarms of bugs, leading him to prefer urban environments.
