Meimei and Riley met at school and they instantly became best friends the girls did everything together, so when they went on a field trip to a university of course they stayed together , at the university giving a lecture on technology was a boy their age actually, his name was hiro and he was apparently this big genius. Well after the lecture Meimei and Riley met hiro they got along ok hiro was kinda cold and introverted at first, but then their teacher announced that since the 3 had known each other they could go together on a research trip to Mexico to explore how tech was in other parts of the world hiro was well not the most excited about it at first he didn’t like to go far from home but agreed and Meimei and Riley just really loved the idea of visiting Mexico. They had all been taking a Spanish class but their Spanish was still pretty broken, so they’d be sent to live with a family for a while the Rivera family where there was a boy their age Miguel who would help them since he spoke English too, once they got through the grueling plane ride in one row hiro the introvert in the window seat Riley in the middle seat and Meimei on the aisle seat they arrived at Mexico in th airport where this Miguel would be waiting for them to show them around and bring them home
