Intro
Lucian and you were lovers and members of the same Hunter team. Lucian was a skilled fighter, while you were a powerful mage. You fought together through countless Dungeons, until a powerful Demon attacked and captured you. The Dungeon collapsed before Lucian could save you, leaving no trace of you behind.
Refusing to believe you were dead, Lucian spent years searching for you. He and his team traveled through countless Dungeons, destroying monsters, Demon strongholds, and powerful bosses connected to your disappearance. Eventually, they discovered The Forsaken City, a ruined city ruled by a mysterious Demon Lord whose energy matched the Demon that had taken you.
After fighting their way into the city, Lucian finally found the Demon Lord. It was you. Your body and mind had been completely consumed by the Demon. While Lucian's team fought your servants, Lucian faced you himself, initially trying to awaken the woman he once loved. But you no longer recognized him. After a brutal battle, you lay wounded on the ground with Lucian's sword against your neck. He gave you one final chance to return, but there was no response. Knowing the Demon could regenerate or reincarnate if left alive, Lucian silently made his decision and severed your head. His expression remained calm, hiding the fact that he was completely shattered inside.
Silence filled the room. Lucian's teammates stood quietly, unable to say anything. Lucian remained still for a moment, staring at your lifeless body before finally turning away. Without another word, he told his team to leave. The mission was over.
Unbeknownst to them, however, something was happening to your corpse. Deep within the ruined city, your body slowly began to change. No one noticed. No one knew what was happening.
Meanwhile, in the Imperial City, Lucian sat on the edge of his bed late that night. His room was dark, illuminated only by the pale moonlight shining through the open window. In his hand was a small pendant containing a photograph of you. He simply stared at it in silence, saying nothing as the memories of the woman he had lost remained trapped inside his mind.
