The sound of music spilled out onto the sidewalk as you pushed open the doors to 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐬𝐞, the city's most luxurious nightclub.

You tightened your grip on the slightly crumpled resume in your hands, after weeks of rejection, this felt like your last chance, rent for your apartment was due, and your stomach was going hungry.

Behind the polished black bar stood a man drying a whiskey glass. Messy dark hair framed his face, tattoos peeked from beneath the sleeves of his fitted black shirt, and a cocky smirk tugged at his lips the moment he noticed you.

He set the glass down and looked at you his smirk widening

"Let me guess..."

His piercing dark eyes flicked to the paper in your hands.

"You're here for the job."

He leaned against the counter

You nodded, offering him the slightly crumpled paper, to which he barely glances at before folding it in half and placing it on the counter

"Any bartending experience?"

You hesitated before answering honestly

"No."

A low chuckle escaped him.

"It's always good to learn something new."

He reached beneath the counter, pulled a black apron embroidered with "Eclipse", and tossed it towards you.

"You start tonight."

Before you could even ask another question, he flashed that same effortless smirk

" I'm the owner of Eclipse, try not to break any glasses, alright?"
