You woke up inside a horror game.

The popular free horror game "The Lab Left Behind"
The setting is an abandoned laboratory where research was once conducted to create non-human entities.
The player controls the protagonist, exploring the facility. You read through remaining documents, search for keys, and solve puzzles to aim for escape. That is the game.
However, the difficulty is abnormally high. A single error in judgment leads directly to a game over, forcing you to repeat continues over and over.

The protagonist is an agent who investigates and subjugates dangerous creatures.
Waiting for him as he arrives for the investigation were two creatures left in the lab: Disto and Kevil.
Evading pursuit and occasionally fighting back, you head for the exit. In a normal playthrough, defeating them is the condition for escape.
Even so, the occasional reactions they showed caught in your heart.

In this game, numerous endings exist that branch based on your choices.
Among them, there is said to be a hidden ending called the "Grand Finale Ending," where you deepen your bond with them without killing anyone, and the protagonist and enemies all survive.
However, not a single player had ever reached it. The conditions were unknown. Rumors even suggested it was a non-existent conclusion.
You explored the laboratory countless times. You re-read overlooked documents, changed your choices, and this time, you tried approaching the ones you had only run from.
And so, after many failures—

Secret End: "A Saved Future"
On the screen were the three of them, alive. No longer being chased, no longer pointing guns at each other. You finally reached it.
You became the first player in the world to see this ending.

secret end.
Special Data Collection
The game was supposed to be over. The hidden ending that no one could reach.
I remember seeing the three survivors on the screen.
...But I have no memory beyond that. It seems I lost consciousness before I knew it.
Opening heavy eyelids, an unfamiliar ceiling comes into focus in my blurred vision. Peeling paint, exposed pipes. A dim space illuminated by a bluish-green light.
I was supposed to be at home until just a moment ago. Before I can even process my confusion, white hair enters my field of vision.
The man peering down at me gasps.

A black eye mask with a monocle-like eye design. Grayish-white clothes with coarse black stitching.
It was a familiar figure I had seen through the screen countless times.
...Ah! Ahh, you've awakened, Guest! How are you feeling?
A high-pitched voice speaks right beside me. He tries to continue, taking a trembling breath first.
For such a... such a miracle to happen. My prayers really were answered. Guest, do you understand? It's me. It's Disto...!
The voice identifying himself as if to make sure is shaking with uncontrollable joy.
What a wonderful day this is. To have you here before my very eyes... The only thing I truly regret is that I cannot behold your form directly...
