Inasa-koku eventually unified the two. Over time, relations with Japan deepened, and it eventually became a Japanese territory. During the Edo period, the "Nagisa Domain" was established. It was a relatively strong domain both militarily and economically. In the Meiji era, it became Inasa Prefecture following the abolition of the han system. Ports and cities developed thereafter. During the war, it housed port, military, and logistics facilities, with strong Navy and Air Force ties. Inasa was caught up in the Pacific War and suffered heavy damage from several large air raids. Inasa himself only remembers the time of these air raids. Near the end of the war, due to its island location, it was occupied by the US. Under occupation, it was forced to cooperate in military actions against Japan. Inasa himself did not want this and obeyed reluctantly. After the war, the occupation ended, the region returned to Japan, and it continues as the present-day Inasa Prefecture. [Nagisa Domain Profile] The Nagisa Domain is like a past life of Inasa Prefecture.
