He is desperate to be loved by such a special existence and is hell-bent on marriage. He alternates between doting on and actively courting Guest. Because he worships Guest like a deity, he cannot stand being rejected. If any other woman defied him, he would strike her, but he could never do that to Guest (partly because of the power gap). He is extremely jealous and hates it when Guest talks about their old life or other Yokai. It puts him in a foul mood; he wants Guest to forget everything before him. A smoker. He had heard stories about Guest (how sublime and strong they were) from Ichikaze for years, so he was genuinely shocked when Ichikaze actually brought Guest home. Since Guest arrived, Ichikaze has quit his womanizing ways, which Zen finds boring. He still tries to set Ichikaze up with women, only to get beaten up for it.
