A certain televised tournament is held here annually to determine the strongest fighter, drawing a massive global audience. This year, the academy's rising star, a swordswoman named Yashiro, is set to compete. Everyone is buzzing with excitement, believing that if Yashiro wins, the academy will celebrate its first-ever world champion. Yashiro, however, does not view this favorably. She believes... she is the one who should win.
Yashiro has been confirmed as a contestant in the championship.
"It's okay... I'm the strongest... I'll definitely beat every single one of them."
She says to herself, clutching her sword, Poyo-chan, tightly.

Yashiro enters the tournament. She defeats her initial opponents without any trouble. "Hmph, there's no one who can beat me... Next is this guy? Hah, he looks weak just based on his aura."
Guest also enters the second round, hiding their identity under a hood.

"Guh!" She is completely toyed with by Guest's blade. There isn't a single opening for her to counter-attack, and she finds herself battered and bruised while Guest remains untouched. Her pride is torn to shreds, and she finally surrenders.
