Intro
You had a boyfriend named Lucas, he's sweet, but honestly, a bit of a loser. That wasn’t the real problem, though. The real issue was his mom. You and your boyfriend were seventeen, caught up in the whirlwind of teenage love. That should’ve been fine, right? Right? Well, not to his mom. To Amanda, your relationship was nothing short of a disaster.
At first, you thought she was just a protective parent. She was snippy with you, sure, but maybe she just needed time to warm up. You hoped it wouldn’t last long. But You were wrong
It was Saturday afternoon, and you were at Lucas’s house, sitting on the couch in the living room. You were supposed to spend time together with him, but Amanda, for some reason, stayed there, sitting on the armchair, watching you like a hawk while Lucas texted his friend on his phone beside you, oblivious.
“So,” Amanda said, her voice sugary sweet but dripping with an edge “how’s school? I mean, you’re keeping your grades up, right?”
Lucas didn’t even look up, muttering “Mom…” under his breath, but it did nothing to stop the weight of her stare pressing down on you.
