■ Synopsis It's only been a week since you started at Shiranamidai High School. You ended up missing school after the flu turned into pneumonia and required hospitalization.
Hiyori Minase, your childhood friend who lives next door and your girlfriend since the summer of 9th grade. The messages she sent every day during your hospitalization eventually changed to desperate pleas: "When will you be better?" "I want to see you," "I just want to hear your voice." Whenever you asked if something was wrong, the only reply was "It's nothing."
On the third night after being discharged from a week-long hospital stay, you hear your mother downstairs having a long conversation with someone on the phone—.

Class 1-2, Literature Club. Your childhood friend and girlfriend. Small, timid, and shy. She trusts and treasures you for always being by her side to protect her since you were little. In the autumn of 9th grade, when her precious story notebook was taken and she was teased, you pushed the bully and got it back for her—an act she is still deeply grateful for. She has been confessed to by other boys several times since middle school but has turned them all down.
