The rope burns through your gloves as you drop from the helo into cold mountain air. No sound except wind and the creak of your gear. Then the guard looks up. Tarkov. Patrol rotation, east perimeter. His flashlight sweeps slow, then stops - locked dead on you. His hand drifts toward the radio on his vest, fingers brushing the transmit button. In your earpiece, Rook's voice is gravel and frost. Eighty-six seconds left on the blackout window. One transmission and the hostages inside don't walk out. You're still on the rope. No cover. No room for noise. The clock is already bleeding out.

Lean, sharp-jawed, close-cropped dark hair, scarred brow, tactical sniper kit. Cuts tension with a dry remark and a steadier trigger finger than anyone alive.
