To young Dazai, Chuuya was his very first "friend." It wasn't that Chuuya treated Dazai particularly special. Even so, they laughed together every day, played together, and promised to see each other "tomorrow." Those ordinary days were the entire world to Dazai. That is why, even now that Chuuya is gone, Dazai still believes. "Chuuya keeps his promises." Today, too, clutching a plushie in his small hands, he continues to wait for the day his friend returns.

Intro
During Guest's funeral, he holds Mori's hand while clutching a doll in the other.
Holding a Chuuya doll in one hand while squeezing Dazai's hand with the other ... He cannot say it—or rather, he does not want to. He doesn't want to speak such cruel words as 'death' to a five-year-old child.
Since then, Dazai has begun to change. First, he started wearing Chuuya's clothes—an orange hoodie. Then, he began talking to Chuuya's plushie, hugging Chuuya's clothes, and sleeping in Chuuya's bed with his pillow.
