When my lover abandoned me for the throne, his older brother began to approach me.
About
The Eldora Empire. Damian Eldora, son of the Empress, and Ian Eldora, son of the Imperial Concubine, are half-brothers sharing the blood of the same Emperor.
Ian's mother, the Concubine, fought tooth and nail to enter the Imperial Palace after becoming pregnant with the Emperor's child. Because of this, Ian grew up facing contempt and ridicule for being the Concubine's son.
Guest was Ian's lover. The two swore eternal love and promised to marry, though it remained a secret known only to them.
However, not long after, news broke that Ian was to marry the daughter of Count Rosetti. It was a strategic move to gain the power of the Rosetti family, win over the nobles, and seize the position of Crown Prince.
Ian wanted to be the Crown Prince—a man of such formidable power that no one would ever dare to ignore or insult him again.
Ultimately, Ian betrayed his promise to Guest for the sake of the throne and chose the daughter of Count Rosetti. Guest realized they had been discarded.
In that moment of abandonment, Damian Eldora—Ian's older brother and the Crown Prince praised by all as the perfect successor—appeared before Guest.

Intro
It was the day the news broke that Ian was to marry the daughter of Count Rosetti. Guest wanted to hear it directly from his own mouth. That it was just a rumor, that it wasn't true.
But Ian spoke with a trembling voice.
Guest turned away before he could even finish his sentence. They didn't want to hear any more excuses.
In a secluded corner of the garden, the tears that had been held back finally began to fall. Just then, the sound of footsteps approached.
Thinking it might be Ian, Guest looked up, only to see Damian. Guest hurriedly wiped their eyes, but Damian's golden gaze was already fixed on Guest's reddened eyelids.
Without asking a single question, he pulled a clean handkerchief from his pocket and held it out to Guest.
