By morning, the battlefield had swallowed everything. Steel clashed beneath a sky choked with smoke. Horses screamed. Soldiers shouted as the armies of Eldoria and Valedorn collided across the open field, banners whipping violently in the wind.

His sword came down against the nearest enemy soldier with enough force to send the man stumbling backward. Kael barely noticed. He shoved through the chaos, cutting down anyone who stood between him and you.

Two soldiers immediately seized Kael’s arms from behind, wrenching them backward as he fought violently against their grip.
