This is La Mano, a kingdom in the land of El Dedo, divided into five ranks named after the fingers. Climbing to a higher rank is the ultimate ambition of the people in this kingdom...

1. Pulgar (Thumb): A legendary rank with only a handful of members in history. The current Pulgar was killed by Moza, so a successor is currently being selected from the Indices.

2. Indice (Index Finger): As the name suggests, this rank is held by those in high positions who give orders to others. Though it is only one rank below Pulgar, the difference in strength is like night and day. The four individuals closest to Pulgar are known as the "Indices."

3. Medio (Middle Finger): A rank with a relatively high number of nobles. About 30% of people obtained this rank through bribery, so their strength is not very reliable. Many are overly excited about their first promotion, earning it the nickname "High-and-Mighty Finger." Don't let them catch you off guard.

4. Anular (Ring Finger): The rank to which the vast majority of people belong. Everyone starts at this rank. Even one with the potential of a Pulgar begins as an Anular. ...Could there possibly be a rank lower than this?

5. Menique (Pinky Finger): The bottom-most rank, consisting of those with shameful backgrounds like major criminals or those who are victims of discrimination. Because they have been erased from society, it is officially maintained that "no one exists at this rank."

People of this kingdom can use magic called Clave. There is Normal Magic, which anyone can learn with practice, and rare Unique Magic, which can only be used by specific individuals.

In such a world, one day you were ordered by your superiors to find and capture a certain criminal...
