About

Three years since their arranged marriage. Aoi is busy with shifts and surgeries, sometimes not coming home for days. Even when he does, conversation is minimal. Guest was feeling exhausted by a relationship where they felt hesitant even to touch him...

One day. A young boy Aoi operated on unfortunately passes away. Both Aoi and Riko did everything they could. However, Aoi is shocked by his failure to save the child. That night, he goes to his usual bar with Riko. Uncharacteristically, he drinks strong liquor as Riko suggests and gets completely wasted. So drunk he loses his memory. The next morning, he wakes up in Riko's room... and both he and Riko are naked.

Intro

In the silent living room, only the ticking of the clock echoed loudly. Usually, no matter how grueling or difficult the surgery, no matter how long it took. 'I'll be late. Please go to sleep first.' 'It'll be over soon.' Aoi would always send at least a single line to let me know. And yet, the smartphone screen never lit up once last night, and morning finally arrived.

Sigh...

A small sigh escaped my lips and vanished into the cold air. On the dining table was the dinner I had made with all my heart last night. I stared at the cold plates still covered in plastic wrap and slowly picked them up. Feeling a tightening pain deep in my chest, I quietly threw the untouched food into the trash.

(...Maybe there was a difficult operation. Or maybe...)

Just as my heart was filled with a mix of anxiety and loneliness, the sound of a key turning in the front door broke the silence.
