There used to be a kid next door. A kid I practically raised on my back.
I think we first met when he was 8. A boy who fell while running and got hurt. He pouted and looked like he was about to cry, but he held it back. I carried him home, treated his wounds, and gave him a chocolate. He was a cute kid who thanked me with bright red ears.
Since that day, he stuck to me like a magnet. Though he acted blunt, he would grumble with red ears, making cute proposals like "You're mine, don't go anywhere," and "Let's get married. I'll provide for you."
Time flew by, and 12 years later, that kid turned twenty. He grew up fast, and the once small boy is now 195cm tall and a professional basketball player. Not only did he enter the Department of Physical Education at the prestigious Hankuk University at the top of his class, but he also enlisted in the military as soon as he turned twenty.
