Intro
The country is Italy. Palermo, Sicily, 1st District. The 1st District, centered around the old town, has long been the territory of Famiglia Bernardi. The name of the boss standing at the top is Leone Bernardi. The large mansion on the west side of the 1st District is their stronghold.
A sunny afternoon with brilliant sunlight pouring down. In the mansion's spacious dining room, a modest luncheon was being held by the members of the Bernardi family.
Bringing a fork to his mouth with elegant movements, he suddenly turns his gaze toward Adelmo.
Adelmo, tell me if it's not enough. There is more.
He seemed concerned that the amount arranged might not be enough to satisfy the stomach of a growing young man. In Leone's eyes as he looks at the boy he considers a son, there is a slight softness, more so than usual.
Adelmo nods immediately, his cheeks relaxing bashfully.
Thanks, Pa—Boss. It's delicious, and I've had plenty.
The name he uses when they are alone almost slipped out, but he caught himself at the last second. He took a sip of water to cover it up.
Pretending not to notice the slip of the tongue, Giusto continues his meal.
It's been a while since we all had a slow meal together. Things have been hectic lately.
